IAAF Championships!

Today I went to the Daegu stadium to watch the IAAF Athletic Championships (I'm also going tomorrow!!!!)

I had to day off today because all of the students were taking a practice college entrance exam (bummer for them) and my principal gave me VIP tickets to this rare event! I invited a friend, 준혁, and I think we had a pretty massively awesome time, yeah?!?!

He told me it was his first time seeing a track and field event so, YAY!!!!

It was so much fun and I'm glad that I was able to go.

I could not help but think of 2 things: 1, the athletes were so incredible! Their job was/is to perfect a specific talent (javelin, running, high jump, etc) and they are so good at it it is mind boggling. Truly shows what the human body is capable of! Also, 2. Because this was an international competition, I was astounded by the amount of 외국인 (foreigners). yes I am one too but I'm different. I am here for a year, living, they were here for 2 weeks tops so I felt a little weird around them. Also, I couldn't help but think about all the different languages that were being spoken!!! Wow.
